Calling all Helldivers! Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that Helldivers 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2015 Indie hit, will require players on the PC version to sign in with a PlayStation Network (PSN) account. The news was revealed on May 3, 2024, along with the official release date and available platforms.

Helldivers 2 is set to launch on August 15, 2024, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. The game features the signature co-op shooter gameplay with top-down perspective, where players take on the role of elite soldiers fighting off alien hordes. With the addition of the PSN sign-in requirement, Sony aims to provide a more seamless experience between platforms.
