La Liga Standings 2020/2021: Barcelona Lose Top Spot After Shock Defeat
Barcelona was dethroned from the top of the La Liga standings after suffering a shock 2-1 defeat against Granada on Thursday.
The Catalan giants had been in pole position for the title but now trail Real Madrid by a point after Los Blancos beat Valencia 2-0 on Wednesday. Atletico Madrid is also in the title race and is just two points behind Barcelona in third place.
The race for the title is now wide open, with all three teams still in contention with just four games remaining.
Barcelona will be looking to bounce back when they travel to Villarreal on Sunday, while Real Madrid will host Sevilla and Atletico Madrid will face Real Betis.
The race for the top four is also heating up, with Sevilla, Real Betis, and Real Sociedad all vying for the remaining Champions League spot.
